The
history of Pinamar
It is implanted in what at the beginning of the 19th century was named
" Montes Grandes del Juancho", twenty-eight leagues who owner
was Don José Suárez. Those fields, according to the historical
chronology, were of the General Félix de Álzaga, who recived
them of Juan Manuel de Rosas for having been A Chief of the regiment "
El Restaurador”. When don Félix passed away they were inherited
by Martín de Álzaga, who married Felicitas Guerrero, who
in 1870 died in a tragic way. On not having had descent, the lands passed
to be a property of her father, Don Carlos Guerrero, and to the death
of him and his wife, Doña Felicitas Cueto, there inherit these
fields seven children of the couple, who distributed the lands.
Of this subdivision, realized in 1886, twenty-five kilometres of beaches
and coastal dunes remain divided among the stays "Martin García",
" La Invernada”, “El Rosario” y Manantiales”,
property of Manuel and Enrique Guerrero. On November 12, 1907, the Gentleman
Enrique Guerrero is designated Comisianado Municpal para el pueblo "Divisadero"
by the Government of the Province. In 1908 the Provincial Government declared
to this village head-board of Partido de El Tuyú. It was running
this year when the railway of the south enables, in Jose Guerrero's fields,
a station named "Juancho", which later would be taken advantage
to transport the tourists to those beaches. In 1910, one law of date August
8 wanted to change the name of “Partido del Tuyú” into
that of "Juan Madariaga". Little before, in 1908, the Belgians
Fernando Robette and Agustín Poli came to these lands with the
idea of installing a resort on the coast, similar to that of his their
natal place, "Ostende". While the Belgians Robette and Cop were
devoting themselves to Ostende, in the year 1909 the French engineers
Francois de Roumefort, Albert Grouward and A.Bisset, bougth the fraction
of the coast José Guerrero to create according to the planes another
model summer village.
Actually has the name
of "Montecarlo", a locality of Pinamar, that sleeps with many
other projects to having that name. In the decade of the 70, was of
constructing in this place the port of deep waters of the maritime Buenos
Aires littoral. In 1918, Doña Valeria Cárdenas de Russo,
with the help of the Architect Jorge Bunge, decides afforest part of
the fields on the coast. One year later she signed an agreement, in
which Bunge pays the quantity of $ 41.000 for 2.684 hectares and there
is stipulated that it would have the majority of the actions while Sra.
De Guerrero would recover the dunes in case the work was failing.
In 1941 begins the fixation and the afforestation. It was a year of
many rains, circunstance that favored the plantation. In 1942 the society
remains juridically constituted between the Architect Bunge and Ms.
Valeria Guerrero Cárdenas de Russo, joining them an important
group of professionals and landowners. Thinking about the forest of
it their creation (in the main pines) and in the sea, they decided to
assign the name of "Pinamar" to this area.
In 1942 there was constructed a small hotel that was called "Pinamar",
which was extended in 1945 and which at present is " Hotel Playas"
.The first summer house, property of the family Fariní, named
"Marejada", still gets up on the corner of the streets Del
Tuyú and Del Odiseo with his original front. On February 14,
1943, Pinamar is inaugurated as a summer locality and on the following
year, the Executive Provincial Power aproved The Director Plan, creation
of the Architect Jorge Bunge, who was the guide to construct and to
urbanize, respecting the topography. In the summer of 1947/1948 Don
Herman Parini initiated a service of passengers transport with the company
"Al Mar". This line passed to be then the company "Sol
Mar". Meanwhile, about the year 1947, Doña. Valeria Guerrero
Cárdenas de Russo decided to create her own summer village in
the lands that she still had on the maritime littoral, which nowadays
is Valeria del Mar. For it, a society is created "Balnearios del
Atlántico S.A." that with great enthusiasm initiates the
afforestation and construction in that place.
The first building constructed in Valeria del Mar calls
" Del Atlántico" and it was inaugurated in 1962. In
1971, one North American company realized perforations for the search
of oil, staying the estructure of concrete armed in the area of Espora
and Arcachon avenues. Contiunuing with Pinamar's history, in 1949, before
the threat of raising of the railway and for repeated requests, there
is re-inaugurated the tour of the route of the railway that there was
used in 1914 to take fuelwood, but that now would serve to transport
not only the elements necessaries for the works of afforestation but
also it would do the service of passengers transport. Between the year
1949 and 1953 they begin to take root in Pinamar groups of Italian immigrants
families who came to the country on having finished the Second Great
War.
With great zeal of progress they give to Pinamar the
contribution of it´s initial stage. In this period the stable
society begins to organize and there are formed the different commissions
of diverse institutions that today fulfill the important role for the
one that they were created. They arise this way the Club de Pesca, the
Sociedad de Fomento, the Comisión Pro-Templo.
In addition, Pinamar S.A. donates the lands for the construction of
the Primary School, that was working in the administration of the above
mentioned company and for Public Health Area. This way there gets up
first the Sanitary Unit, which later on- in 1977- tranformes in Cooperativa
Unidad Sanitaria Pinamar Ltda. (CUSPIN Ltda.) and that nowadays occupies
these facilities the Hospital Comunitario de Pinamar.
On August 13, 1961 passed away Don Jorge Bunge, creator
of this paradise, who applying knowledge of urbanism advanced for that
period, generates what today is the common land of our city, admired
by thousands of tourists who come looking for the contact with the nature.
In 1962 there makes concrete the creation of Cooperativa Telefónica
de Pinamar (TELPIN Ltda.) for Don Enrique T. Susini, which is pioneering
in the services of telephony, and advanced per decades to the rest of
the country. TELPIN continues being today pride of the people of Pinamar
and amazement of their visitors.
In the decade of 70 a relevant development takes place in the construction,
arising the multifamily residences.
1 º of July, 1978, for Law 9.024 of the province
of Buenos Aires was created the “Municpio Urbano de Pinamar”,
that includes part of the territory belonging to Gral. Juan Madariaga.
From this date, the localities of Montecarlo, Pinamar, Mar de Ostende,
Ostende, Valeria del Mar and Cariló conform the Municipio de
Pinamar, and conform a Producing Center of Services that are related
directly or indirectly with the activity of the tourism.
Pinamar's locality pases to be a head board of the district in May 23,
1983. For Law N° 0 9.949 the denomination Municipio Urbano de Pinamar
is replaced for Partido de Pinamar . December 7, 1996, came again the
